DRS uses a limited number of third-party service providers to assist us in providing our services to customers. These third parties may access, process or store personal data in the course of providing their services. DRS maintains contracts with these third parties restricting their access, use and disclosure of personal data in compliance with our Privacy Shield obligations.
DRS’s accountability for personal data that it receives under the Privacy Shield and subsequently transfers to a third party is described in the Privacy Shield Principles. In particular, DRS remains responsible and liable under the Privacy Shield Principles if third-party agents that it engages to process the personal data on its behalf do so in a manner inconsistent with the Principles, unless DRS proves that it is not responsible for the event giving rise to the damage.
You have the right to access personal data about you, and to limit use and disclosure of your personal data. Because DRS personnel have limited ability to access data our customers submit, if you wish to request access, to limit use or limit disclosure, please provide the name of the DRS customer who submitted your data, as well as your request, using the contact information listed above. We will refer your request to that customer and will support that customer as needed in responding to your request.
Choices for Disclosure and Use of Personal Information
In the event the Company collects sensitive information (e.g., personal information specifying medical or health conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership or information specifying the sexual orientation or activities of the individual), such information will not be disclosed or used by the Company for purposes that are incompatible with the purpose(s) for which it was originally collected or for which you subsequently gave authorization unless you affirmatively consent to such disclosure and use.
